Chris L. Winton is the Vice President, Human Resources, responsible for leading HR functions for FedEx Services. This includes Compensation, HR Analysis, Organizational Effectiveness, Recruiting, Performance Management, Workforce Strategy & Planning and HRIS functions.

 

As a certified Dale Carnegie trainer, Chris focuses on real transformation. He spent most of his career in IT before transitioning to HR in 2015 to drive Talent Acquisition for FedEx. Over his 20 years with FedEx, he has successfully held multiple leadership positions including establishing the Enterprise Command Center, an organization of 400+ onshore and offshore resources overseeing the stability and performance of the global IT environment.

Chris earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Memphis in Management Information Systems and later an MBA from Dowling College.

 

Chris first joined FedEx as an IT Intern in 1997. He now serves on the Board of Directors for INROADS, Inc., Memphis Challenge and the Local Workforce Investment Network.

 

In 2014, Chris was recognized by the Memphis Business Journal as a “Top 40 Leader under 40” for his body of work to include programs such as Teach for America and TechHire.

 

Chris is married to Coleshia Winton, and they have two beautiful children, Jordyn and Jaden.
